What Helping is all About

Many clients become clients because, they  have decided or others have told them they are involved in problematic situations and encountering stressors they are not handling well.  These clients need to learn ways of dealing with, coping with, solving, and resolving their problems.  They have discovered what they have been doing has not been helping or has been helping but not enough to get them out of the “pit”they are in.  In other words, they need help from someone else in order to assist them in taking a fresh look at their situations in order to manage these problematic situations, stressors, and symptoms.

Some people come into treatment not because they are have overwhelming problems, but because they are not living up to their potential and want to lead more satisfying lives.  They have resources they

are unaware of or not using, or opportunities they are not taking advantage of.  These may be people who feel locked in dead-end jobs or bland marriages who are frustrated because they lack challenging goals, who feel guilty because they are failing to live up to their expectations, who want to do something more constructive with their lives, or who are disappointed with their stagnant relationships.

A mental health professional can help you deal more efficiently and effectively with your problems, concerns, and goals.

If you or someone you know is in need of mental health services, please call NEFSH Community Behavioral Healthcare Services at (904) 259-4671.  The office address is 531 S. 6th Street, Macclenny, Florida 32063.  Our fax number is (904) 259-5187.  Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
