Volunteering at NEFSH

Volunteer  Services  is  anxious  to  be  of assistance to all areas of our
hospital.    Psychology  Interns,  Religious  Volunteers,  various  Nursing
Organizations  and student groups are regularly involved in volunteering at
NEFSH.  We are expanding our opportunities to partner with organizations in
the  community to offer volunteer service to our clients and the staff that
serve them.

Presently  we  are  working  with  a  Jacksonville  based  business that is
encouraging  it's  employees  to  give  volunteer time to NEFSH.  They have
assisted  with  one  of  our  large mailings.   Their help allowed staff to
accomplish  the  task in about 4 hours in one day as opposed to working the
mailing  into three regular business days.  A group of nurses has requested
that  our nursing department use advanced students to assist them.  Nursing
is  looking  at  ways  it  can  use  these volunteers.  A musical group has
volunteered  to  bring their group to entertain the individuals we serve at
NEFSH.   Details  are being worked out to incorporate the musical group
into
one of our evening activities.

Perhaps  your  area  has an opportunity for volunteers to serve.  Volunteer
Services  will  be glad to assist you.  Let me know what your opportunities
are.  I need to know what will be required of the volunteer, how long the
task  will  take,  when and where the service needs to be rendered and what
skills you would like the volunteer to have.

You may be knowledgeable regarding businesses, schools or corporations that
are  looking  for  places  to  volunteer.  I would love to know about them.
